it is here. the 15 song full length album from Library drops today. glad to see it come out.in late December of 2008, we travelled to snowy northeastern Ohio to record with our old pal Todd Tobias (Guided By Voices, Robert Pollard, Circus Devils, Brother Earth) and recorded, mixed, and finished this record in less than 2 weeks. most tracks were done in 2 takes or less. basic tracking was done live in one room of an old house (the old Waterloo studio). it was a fiery pace, a great way to make a record. not much time for second guessing, editing, correcting mistakes.
somehow we also played shows almost every night during the sessions. we played hard and loud, drank mucho beer, we ate a lot of Swenson's burgers. watched a lot of rock n roll bootleg movies on a wall of 10 televisions. i don't think we slept much. then the fruits of our labor sat quietly on a shelf for a year, while we tried to figure out how to get it out to the kids.. and now it's finally out.
